Skinny Jeans and Leggings: Top Trends in Girls' Fashions


Lately, I've been searching everywhere for a pair of skinny jeans. And, not liking to admit, I'm a size 10. Not size 10 women's...size 10 kids! Ouch, I know. And I haven't been able to find any. To the left are a pair of skinny jeans, but for women, from the Gap. They're actually quite nice. I went to the Gap, and tried on a different pair, obviously, in size 10 and they looked good but they were so tight! I could barely bend down! So I tried size 12, and they weren't really skinny jeans anymore. They were too big and felt weird. I found ANOTHER pair of jeans, this time not skinny but this weird kind of crimp at the bottom, and they fit perfectly, but they were so uncomfortable. [Gap.com]



Skinny Jeans Links (for girls): NORDSTROM! <---this site rocks for girls (by girls I mean 10, 11, 12) LIMITED TOO <----pretty good, more for girly girls I was looking online for skinny jeans and I came across Salt Works Jeans. They ONLY sell skinny jeans (for their women's line) and they are SO great. They also sell denim skirts and jackets, but mainly jeans. But they don't sell sizes for preteen people! I'm so mad. I love the company but :( Your Guide to Wearing Skinny Jeans:

1. Choose a pair of skinny jeans that are comfortable. They should have a good amount of stretch in them, have a modest rise and be easy to zip.
2. Dark washed skinny jeans look the best and are the most popular.
3. Pair your skinny jeans up with a modest top. Longer tees are really hot this year and look super matched up with a pair of skinny jeans. Also, long sleeved tees, high neck or crew neck tops, layered tees and blazers all look fab over a pair of skinny jeans.
4. When choosing shoes to go with your skinny jeans, choose super-flat ones. Ballet flats are the most popular choice and look great when paired with a pair of cuffed skinny jeans.
5. Or, when the weather gets a bit chilly, another great look is to tuck your skinny jeans into a pair of flat-heeled ankle boots.
6. Also, if high boots work really well. They look great when skinny jeans are tucked in. Like, high cowboy boots, or Uggs.
7. If skinny jeans just aren't your thing, there are plenty of other options out there in the world of fashionable jeans!

This ensemble works really well with leggings. A white tank, or tee, a simple brown ruffle skirt, over leggings with gold flats. It looks pretty good, if I do say so myself.


Leggings: What to Wear With Them

Leggings and skirts are truly a dynamic duo. If you have qualms about showing off your stems, add a pair of leggings in to the mix. Leggings enable skin-shy women to pull off skirts of all lengths. Choose a color that coordinates with your top, and keep in mind that dark colors are always more flattering.

Shirtdresses

Peeking out from a sturdy shirtdress, tights add an extra layer of style, often in the form of a pattern or color. When it comes to sun dresses and other breezy numbers, take caution: most flirty frocks are just too light for tights. A good rule of thumb is that if the dress demands heels, stick to bare legs. On the other hand, flats and sandals work, leggings will too.

Tunics

If you want your tights can take the spotlight, pair them with a tunic. Standard tees and tanks simply won’t work unless you’re a model or an aerobics instructor–make sure your top hem touches your upper thigh, and you’re good to go.

Flats

High heels tend to look very “retro dance queen” teamed with tights–and not in a good way. Avoid heels of any height and instead opt for ballet flats, skimmers, moccasins, and slides. With stylish flats, you can pull off tights with casual ease.


Get going, because you have a lot of shopping to do. Hopefully, you already own a pair of leggings, and you are just going out to buy flats, or a tunic or shirtdress. Skinny jeans are a must! Get outta here and buy a pair xD

Lip gloss Lovers

Since every one's always out there looking for the best lip gloss, I decided to write a little post about Lip gloss, that I would like to call the Lip gloss Museum! So anyway I recently (yesterday) went to Sephora and The Body Shop. I bought 2 containers of Born Lippy Balm, flavors Satsuma and Watermelon. There was also Strawberry and Raspberry available.



At Sephora I found some delicious Hard Candy lip glosses. By delicious, I'm serious. It tastes great (Not that you would eat it, but sometimes you lick your lips unintentionally and you get a little taste of gloss). The line of gloss is called Sweet Spot, and other lines I saw was Lollipop Lip Gloss, and Kiss and Tell.

Hey there! Glad you decided to check in with me. You probably received the email I sent out today, with Pure Couture's revamp announcement! Info about PC is below in the first post. Thanks for reading, and here's the first actual style post:

NEW YORK, February 9, 2007 – Donna Karan came home to New York for Fall. The walls of her Greenwich Street space displayed past advertising campaigns that used the city as a backdrop. On the runway below, everything looked so right (save for the costume-y feather chapeaux) that you had to wonder why the designer ever looks elsewhere for inspiration. Revisiting one of her earliest signatures, Karan built this collection around bodysuits. In a season of such minimalist layers, they fit right in, turning bustier jersey dresses into legitimate daytime looks, and introducing a welcome dose of ease to hourglass silhouettes in silk satin. The interplay of matte and shine (stretch satin belts cinching wool double knits) and bright shots of chartreuse, teal, and violet against black were other timely motifs, but what the designer explored in greatest detail, what she seemed most charged about, was draping.

For evening, swirls of jewel-tone silk charmeuse curled from one shoulder around the body to the hem, sometimes with fans of taffeta decorating the bust. Jackets in organza mohair tweed and silk radzimir were softened with gently molded lapels that blossomed open to reveal bare necklines. These were paired with the season's slightly rounded and elongated skirts. Pants played a very minor role, which is too bad because the trousers that Karan showed with belted tunics could fill the gaping void for such chic practicalities that exists on the New York runways.
